Hi,

For my bday my gf made a concession to my hobby and decided to take me to Mono Lake simply for me to take pictures (took me to Alexander's Steakhouse too! where I literally got sht for my bday (<---that's right, the correct usage of the word literally, as opposed to the more popular usage incorrectly meaning the opposite: "figuratively"!)... in the form of the famous coffee :)) Was a nice bday.

Anyway, I wanted to share with you some of the pics. Feel free to add your own!

some advice: assuming you're not reserving the yosemite campsites, if you're gonna camp at one the no-reservation sites out near mono lake, they will fill up before the end of the day. kinda a problem since that's when you want to be out to take the nice pretty sunset shots. (and yeah, we were screwed so we ended up just getting food in town and sleeping in our car.)

I tried to reserve at Tuolumne camp grounds but it was full hours after it opened. We are thinking about booking a room in Lee Vining instead since we are bringing out 18 month old with us. Thanks for the advice.
