Took this a couple of years ago, but revisiting it.
How would you improve this shot? PP, cropping, anything else.
Want to improve my candid portraits

In my opinion her skin isn't looking good. make it look a little smoother.

maybe it's just the compression.

I might be inclined to crop off the top of the toque and right side to keep ratio....looks a bit top heavy.

Only thing I'd like to see is tighter cropping from the top down.
Play with your cropping right around the word New Zealand. You don't need the whole hat in the shot...her pretty face is where it's happening!

Just never posted this before and I am working my way up to do paid portraits so all the help I can get is good

Looks great to me. After the All Blacks win last night just make sure she keeps on wearing that Beanie !

I'm just on my phone but to me it looks a tad under exposed

Cute photo. I would crop to bring her eyes up in the frame a bit more though. As mentioned above it appears a bit top heavy. I would go as far as to crop to jsut above the heart on her beanie. It sppears more balanced to me that way (from scrolling down the screen to "crop it").

More like "Little pink piggy in pink" I like it.

Focus is really great, subject is super cute, light is a bit low for my tastes. Not much but a bit.

The colors all work together very well, and that BG is creamy smooth. Posed shots should look so good.

I apologize in advance if she looks a little green. I just received my new monitor and haven't had time to calibrate it yet!
Here is my quick edit. I agree with TItus, it was a little underexposed but otherwise a great head portrait.
Curves to increase overall exposure.
Selectively darkened BG. (I worked too quickly so there is a slight halo around her)
Heal brushed couple of hairs off of her left eye and stray one on nose.
Increased the white balance by 500
Applied very light noise reduction and removed JPEG artifacts from my copy.
