wish I had your sharpness

Maybe you need to use a different sharpening algorithm to sharpen up your photos?

I use a 3 stage on that uses progressive layers for sharpening in a Photoshop script.

This female orb spider is out there braving the conditions today. It's wet and windy - and I took this using available light only so as to have no ringflash showing in the the droplets, hence the high ISO and fast shutter speeds, plus some fairly aggressive noise reduction.

The rain began to fall again while I was out there, and she is braver than I am when it comes to photography in the wet!!!

Thoroughly sick of this grey murky weather - especially seeing as it's spring, and lots of lovely blossom about. A few in Napier yesterday.
Couldn't work out what they were going to load onto this small ship, but from the set up I wondered if it was stock.

The storm water drain exit which has been made into a viewing platform. Can you believe that sometimes homeless people slepp under there!

WOW ..... big animals, evelakes. I hoe that you kept your distance ! Cool photo.

I haven't had a lot of time for photography lately, but figure I should post something every now and then.

Here's a simple mushroom in the moss.

I really like this Mike - the kind of shot I aspire to. Tried it yesterday with a bluebell .... failed miserably! Lol

Yet another dreary day in the supposed "sunny Hawkes Bay"!!! When will it end - this is supposed to be Spring!!! Busy hard day on the ward today so couldn't be bothered driving to my usual dog walking place .... this is a relatively local dog walking park. One of the very, very few areas where dogs allowed off the leash around here. It's local body elections so hoping for a new council and some more dog friendly areas.

You can see the fresh spring green:

Not sure if this works, and not sure what tree the new growth is:

Love the new green on the willows - this shot actually flatters the area I reckon :-)

Kowhai and bokeh. One of our native trees which the birds love, especially the tui.

I always think these blossom trees look like ballerinas, but don't think I've captured that. Had my dog and didn't want to venture near the busy road.
