Sorry to say I'll be leaving this thread and all you nice folks. I've only been here since the turn of the year but I've just traded in my 70D for an 80D. Got a reasonable deal and couldn't resist it. I'll still pop in now and again, though, to see the wonderful work you folks produce. I feel like I've made a few friends, so I'm sad to say goodbye. Maybe some of you will join me on the 80D thread before too long. Thanks for all your 'likes', not that I've been here long enough to earn that many!

NEW FIRMWARE:

For our 70D... but just to correct a lens profile bug for 2 lenses...

who knows, maybe they threw in an undocumented improvement too :-P (unlikely!)

https://www.usa.canon.com …70d#drivers_downloads_tab (external link)

scroll down and find Firmware, click, choose Windows or Mac

"Several" Canon bodies will get this FW update

Well - it's been rain, rain, and more rain here lately, so the rivers have been up . ...... damaging some of the whitebait stands ... Spring has really sprung though with lots of lovely blossom, and new green growth.

I did actually manage to walk around without getting wet, but it pelted down not long after I arrived home:
