Missed this uploading to Flickr - probably my fav of the set today ..... got wet feet as hadn't realised the tide was coming in, and every now and then a wave surged right up ...

One thing I noticed with stopping down the camera - a heap of dust, and consequently a bit of work in PSE cloning it out!!! Might need to send camera on for a clean, but can't bear to be without it. Been thinking about Sony as a second body , as some of them accept Canon lenses with an adaptor I understand, giving full auto control ... but not sure.

You can see a ghostly outline of my little dog on the bank.

Hi everyone

I bought a new laptop so I can edit photos as I go when I am away for a few days, rather than have them accumulate. However I seem to have forgotten my password. I went into my profile to change it but just keep getting errors as I try passwords I thought it might have been. I thought there might be a way to do it where I would receive an email link and new random password, and be able to change that way.

Appreciate any help. Thanks

I've been away for sometime and haven't kept up with all the changes in the camera market. I have a 50D and was a phot nut at one time. Due to work and other personal things, I let photography go. Now, getting back into the hobby that I enjoy.

So, can I have some feedback on the 70D and the differences between it and the 50D. I would like to upgrade (although there is nothing wrong with my 50D) and would like to know what the 70D holds.

Thanks.

I went from the 50D to the 70D as my upgrade path. Other than the obvious SD card instead of CF and flip/touch screen, for me there were several other not so obvious things that made a difference. I find the focus system was much better than the 50D, and it's slightly smaller size and weight was a positive for me. The 70D performs much better at higher ISO's and is not subject to the banding you would see with the 50D. At the end of the day, I found the images produced from the 70D were just better than the 50D (with the same set of lenses), and I shot in raw with both. Colors were more accurate and there was an improvement in it resolving details better than my 50D.

I have printed significantly more photos produced from my 70D than I ever did with my 50D.

I like that the 60/70D have auto ISO in manual mode. I like it for BIF and action.

Image is too big you need to take a smaller resolution in the BB code like medium.

Spotted a weevil - gently and somewhat precariously walking up a small shrub's main trunk - and seeing as I had a yellow on yellow recently with a wasp, I thought this should follow in that vein as an insect being brown on brown...
