When I say I didn't process the second one do I need to tell you all I did crop and convert to jpg for upload, or is that just known? Subtleties matter eh and I do want to get it (the photo) right, and the communication here.
And thanks for the kind words as always.

Keyan-just came back in. You are very right. 70D+400 5.6+Sigma 1.4 TC will focus in live-view. F8 as you know and man that's a hard aperture for my area=dark and cloudy a lot; but just another great feature of this body.

Yeah I was going to mirror Gabe's comments, it looks oversharpened. You can usually tell when you reach that point when contrast lines start to get an odd white fringing to them, and you'll start to see pattern noise creeping out of your out of focus areas.

That's interesting information have, as I never know how much to sharpen.

its a great shot ~ and your invitation for CC is commendable

I note you mentioned that you did crop it. Your composition and balance is good and if there was a possible improvement to be had - you may wish to consider expanding the right side just a bit more. By that I mean - in wildlife shots its good to give your crop a little more room in the direction the bird/animal is looking or flying or moving.

For myself and perhaps other wildlife shooters - in my beginning it was 'all about showing details' ... and while I could be happy with a 'technically good shot' - it was only after I began giving my subjects more breathing room in the above described technique that my images were more pleasing to look at.

that is my unsolicited 1.5 cents worth ~ ;)

Keyan, Gabe, while I have your attention critique the SOOC, I did crop:
