Palad1n that is a great ISO report. So far I've not pushed beyond 800. I am assuming you ran those pics through some de-noise program? I'm hoping you say no

So the challenge is shooting the moon at 840mm hand held, w/ live view? Once we have a clear night with a moon, I'll try it ![]() Just one note Dave, Forum rules allow max picture size of 1024 pixels. The mods will resize the larger ones if they see it, but you'll also get a message from them too if it repeats. You're right, 840mm. Dave, Flickr

PaulIddon Cream of the Crop More info | Nov 19, 2013 15:04 | #2007 I'm sure many of you will remember and have watched one of the greatest films ever, namely, The Birds, by directed by the wonderful Alfred Hitchcock? But that is afterwards. There is a hint of what might have been before if you look at the scene just a short minute before that peaceful scene was before you.. Yes, a couple of questionable pigeons, and a fair few gulls, all looking innocent enough... You will know by now of course what preceded all this... However, luckily for me, it wasn't an attack, where Hitchcock's birds were hell bent on human flesh... No, I think it's fair to assume that they were just flocking in the hope I was bringing some food for them (I did have 2 loaves of bread in a Morrison's carrier bag, but surely the birds are not that clever! And believe me, what you see here are just the ones in front of the camera! There were perhaps another 30 around behind and to the sides not in the frame! Paul. My site: http://www.pauliddon.co.uk
