PaulIddon Cream of the Crop More info | Nov 25, 2013 09:00 | #2118 And a couple of late autumn insects in the garden today: Then, I spotted this 7-spot ladybird tucked up tight against the stem of the rosebush in the garden, presumably on the lookout for a spot to spend the winter, though I suspect this is way to open, and is just a place where she paused as the day grew colder and the sun slipped behind the garden fence. I like the colours from the stem, the insect, and the background, all seeming to compliment each other. IMAGE LINK: http://www.pauliddon.co.uk Paul. My site: http://www.pauliddon.co.uk

roseyposey Cream of the Crop More info | Playing with B&W - my first attempt in Lightroom and think I've overdone the adjustment brush on the clouds in the middle. Interested on any pointers for B&W and whether this was even a suitable image to try it on - thanks. IMG_0759-2 Roy's Hill grapes B&W This converted in PSE 11 using the infrared preset - then a bit of fiddling. Finally got the settings nailed (for my shooting style) on BIF. Getting a good keeper rate now. This was with a 70-300L which is an amazing lens.
