I even sent the lens & 60D to Canon for calibration at one point, which was a whole other mess. The hope of being able to correct the 24-105 is one of the primary reasons I upgraded to the 70D. Until I drag out the tripod, lightbox, and a dollar bill, though, I've gone back to the 18-135 as my walk-around lens. I see, that would have been so frustrating to have such a nice L lens that didn't focus correctly.

For all the talk of the sensor capability, have not really seen anything (here) that shows it off. 6400: 60D Cameras: 7D2, S100

Well, it has more megapickles, which is nice for even more cropping flexibility when you need it. Overall the shots look pretty similar to the 60D in terms of sharpness and such with the same lenses. The jpeg ISO is at least one full stop cleaner. I rarely shoot raw, and with the improved noise control I see less of a need to. If i know I might want to do heavy post processing I will still use RAW, which is about the same quality wise as the 60D. Cameras: 7D2, S100
