Keyan wrote in post #16643578 Several 7D shooters are using the 70D instead now. From everything I have seen, it tracks as well or better, and what you don't have are expansion or spot focus. If the camera could do it I would like to see Canon allow spot on the center point at least, but Canon doesn't generally add features to the XXD line. I couldn't justify the price difference between the 70D and the 7D II when/if it comes out, so for me there isn't really a question about waiting vs owning the 70D. yes my friend, the 70D is a likely acquisition... just a matter of time and finances in 2014... This thread has shown me what wildlife and BIF can look like with the 70D and good processing and I've said it before... many look 5D3esque....

Jan 28, 2014 22:50 | #3476 Ok, this is a heavy'ish crop on a not so great bird photo through a window. Its purpose is (for anyone willing) to show me what's possible through a good PP process. So, here's what I've got. My attempt with a little bit of effort in LR: Here is a link to the RAW file The photo may just be that bad, but out of morbid curiosity, I'm curious if any of you PP pros can do anyting with it. Thanks for anyone willing to indulge my curiosity. ![]() Canon 70D - First Impressions & Review'ish Thread

Jan 28, 2014 23:10 | #3478 K, thanks. I had borrowed my mother in law's 55-250, so nothing to adjust any more. I'll try to get some shots with mine and see if I have the same problem. Canon 70D - First Impressions & Review'ish Thread
