Great shots continue .... love the bokeh on the foxgloves .... and more!

Few from a vantage point yesterday. The main road used to come over this hill with the most amazing views - when I remember I take the diversion. I'm trying to get a series of seasonal shots.

Palad1n nice shot. Now you have the option with a monopod to rise above the crowd
and take a remote shoot on live view with the 70D:cool:

thank you! :)
my original idea was keep the crowd in the frame to maintain the atmosphere, but different angle shot as you described would be nice, i need to work-out more though, because that thing is heavy as hell :)

Also new BIF shot:

No I don't have one - well that's not quite true, I was given an old one but it only fits the nifty fifty.

Rosie,

I love your landscapes. I don't know if you are interested but I have the Nik Sofware suite and am just beginning to learn how to use it. Anyway, here are two edits of the same photograph.. the latter one using Nik.

Pretty great looking edit. Can't you get there with LR though?

I just installed the Nik Suite about a week ago and I have to say I'm impressed with the results. I'm especially partial to Silver Efex Pro.

hokiealumnus, nik actually operates inside Lightroom (or photoshop and a few others, they act as the host program) and adds to it greatly. Once you've done your edits, it kicks it back to LR to let you finalize the image.

I'm loving it!

hokie,

I can't seem to. Nik is so easy to use. I think being color blind is part of my post processing problem and Nik makes it easier for me to see the changes as I do them. I watched an hour long youtube video and was able to produce the above edit. I've read several books on Lightroom and Photoshop and while I'm improving, it is a struggle.
