i really enjoy taking these moments, 70D is really amazing sport camera, with powerful AF tracking capabilities and fast burst rate, this type of shots are pretty simple to capture!

I use the bracketing function quite a lot at times, and I use the two second timer, and press it only once. Providing the exposure compensation and the other setting are correct for the number of shots you want - it will take that number of shots.

Yes, exactly. The timer and the remote modes let you press only one time to take all shots. But all other modes require you to press repeatedly or hold the shutter release button down (for continuous shooting modes).

If you are filming outside you will want an ND filter set or variable ND to keep your shutter speed correct.

i posted many pages ago that i wanted one of these cameras... wife said sell my mud truck that sits.. so i have it sold.. i then thought 1dm4.. but im settling back on 70d and 3 lenses so i maybe posting up here soon... truck should roll out of my driveway next week.. he needs it running...

hoping this camera is exactly what i need for my kids indoor MMA (24-70mk2), outdoor travel soccer(Sigma 50-500) and indoor concerts(70-200 2.8 is 2)

I wish my PP and shooting skills were better like Flip Flop break ankle Patrick
but the 70d is way better than my 40d especially in low light
the 40d is a good camera
but the 70D can make up for my short comings better

After some advice some adjustments in lightroom on white balance.
Next time other apeture f/20 was to much f/8 to f/11 is better and the heavy
tripod the wind was to much.

70d is sweet, but of course 1dmk4 was flagship camera, 70d can´t compete with this monster

24-70mkii is one of the best canon zoom lenses i used on 1dsmkII,5dmkIII or 70D with very fast focusing.

I thought that Tamron 70-300 VC USD for example is as fast as Canon lenses, but unfortunately it is not, my 70-200 2.8 without IS is almost twice as fast with focusing and your ISmkII version is even faster. I was still able to capture lot of BIFs with this Tammy though, so you are absolutely safe and your shots will kick ass

Georgeous captures Evelakes. I'm still a PP n00b and can't help out much there. All I can think of is to make them perhaps a little warmer, since lightning typically should be white, not blue.

Guessing the wildly varying prices are the surprise? Well..I've tried a few of the cheaper ones and sent them back. Color shifts or pronounced "X" in the picture or insane vignetting. I do video professionally so I can't skimp on stuff like this.

Hi thanks for the welcome and comments.

The only reason I haven't posted more and mainly lurk is that I don't have a laptop with editing software any longer, I have an iPad which I do any editing on so it is limiting with respect to the software and storage. Frustrating. I am hoping to replace my laptop soon.

The sizing of the pics in order to post is frustrating as they don't seem to be as sharp and I am sure that is something I am doing wrong. Hopefully will be up and running soon and can contribute some pics.

Loving the 70D, took both cameras with me for the first time on a hike this week and I drew a blank when I went to use the XSI to adjust some settings Eventually figured it out but kept trying to use the screen as a touch screen !!

Every time I see PALAD1N i see "PALADIN" and think...

Yep sticker shock big time.

Being a professional you can't afford to mess stuff up. I'm just making movies of my vacation, dog and an occasional little move where I try and get creative and pretend I'm George Lucas. No room for a $400 filter. But thank you for the information. IT'S A HELPFUL AND AMAZING!

you see it on the big screen, monitor,smartphone there is always a difference on contrast.
