I visited Sigma repair center and got my non art 30mm 1.4 lens fixed. I struggled to get good high iso pictures with this lens and t3i. After fixing it, I am able to get much better pictures. Is there any specific test for 70D center point focusing issue. So far, mine looks fine with center point focusing and high iso images.

Did you ever had the chance to shot with the Art series of Sigma, i think you will look at the problem differently.
It's the same with my Sigma 50-150 os HSM last version. A world of difference with the standaard zoom.
At 1.4 it will hunt for focus, but most of the new cameras will do that the 7D2 appears to have the same issue.
In lightroom you can see your focuspoint(s) and analyse it.
Curious to see if you make that shot with different apertures (stepwise up, with the same focuspoint.

These are probably my last shots with the 70D.
I bought a 6D after Christmas, and I should be putting up the 70D for sale here soon.
Farewell 70D thread!!! :p

So long fs, just come back if you decide on keeping it for reach and fps.:-)

I'm staying subscribed to the thread. :)

I'd like to keep the 70D, but it was part of my "plan" with the boss for me getting the 6D - help offset the cost. 70D is only a year old, 8800 on the shutter.

Hi,
Did you notice any focusing issues with this pictures. I did not do any test. I did not notice any issues so far.

I sold mine to fund a 1d4, then ultimately a 7d2 which will arrive Wednesday. I stay subscribed to the 70d thread and actually really, really miss the camera. I almost pulled the trigger on a used 70d body instead of the 7d2. If I have any of the focus issues that others have had (a minority, I believe), I may just be back to the 70d. Wish it had a bigger buffer, weather sealing and single point expansion AF. No doubt, it has produced my best and favorite action shots to date, sports and BIF.

With high ISO i notice it on my camera, with the eyes the grain is starting to make it hunt and starts to front or backfocus, did you try it on live view with manual focus with a tripod. Of course not possible with live action, but to see the difference.
