When I sign on POTN every day this 70D thread is my first stop---every time I'm blown away by the images and at the same time I'm walking away feeling very small in skill and ability yet motivated to keep learning and bettering myself. From the macros, portraits, landscapes on this page all I can say is wonderful work and thanks as always for bringing that sense of awe to me.

I quite like both, and I also like giving sepia a go too...

This was an experiment with a macro lens, slow shutter speed and flash. If you can't share weird 70D images here, where can you?

Just received my 70D last week and was able to get out a bit this weekend. So far so good.

IDRocks, that is the best Cooper portrait I've ever seen. Simply beautiful....and the kestrel dining in your backyard via your Flickr photostream (a must see for everyone into raptors) is over the top. Color me purple.

I think a combination the lovely lady in colour and the background b&w.

I have to say, this camera is constantly convincing me that it has everything i need - fast accurate and sufficient AF system for tracking, great IQ/ISO performance (with 1.6 crop factor), liveview dual AF focusing, which is very useful, only my 24-70L is very poor regarding sharpness performance on 70D.

I have to admit I was close to sell my 70D, because my 5dmkII suddenly died and i was 99% ready to buy 5dmkIII.. instead i kept my 70D and bought 5Dc - best decision i could make:)

5Dc is working with 24-70L no issues at all, all pictures are sharp as should be, weird thing is, while i had to use MFA on my 70D, my 5dc is focusing right out of the box, i saved over 2000$ on camera. Don´t know why, but i really like pictures from 5Dc more than from 5DmkII.

I also tried 7D mk II, but couldn´t justify the price, for me, it´s absolute overkill - 70D IMHO works great even without those fancy additional AF points, but i like f/8 AF and improved weather sealing though.

One of my last images with 70D

Wise decision Lucas , you could buy a second 70D for backup if you would.
