I've posted this over in the gear thread but thought someone here might be able to help sooner.

I had the EOS app set up with the 70D and had used it a few times. Thought I'd set it up with my new Samsung 8.4 tablet, but couldn't remember the encryption key and hadn't made a note of it. So thought I'd clear the wifi settings in the camera and start again.

I keep going around in circles and when I get to the bit where it displays the key I only get an option to cancel, and not "OK". Going crazy with it!!

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ahhh - Google is my friend! Found some YouTube clips, and I wasn't completing the connection. All good now :-)

That's a very sharp shot, you must have a really good copy of the 24-70L, makes me want to give that lens a try myself.

cubatahavana&MedicineMan4040: Thank you, guys! Puppies are not wildlife, i rarely take photos of pets, i thought it will be easy, but they are fast like really fast :))

DaveKosiba: my 24-70L was faulty (previous owner dropped it), but Canon did great job repairing it and it is even better than my second 24-70L at work. Sharpness is great on 70D only in range 24-50mm f/2.8, unfortunately 70mm is very soft wide-open on any crop camera, needs to be stepped down to f/4 to get proper sharpness.

Keep trying to get better at night photo, but it's hard since I still haven't invested in a tripod. This turned out ok I think though at ISO6400.

I think I finally got focus on the eyes for the first time in my life.

Anyone have experience with converting a camera to infrared? I've been using a Hoya 72R filter, which works fine if you can use a long exposure (like the image below) but really limits the kind of images you can get. No way I'd convert my 70D, but I've got another body that doesn't see much use that I would consider converting.

Interesting style, i like it!!

Nice precise focus on gull´s eye, did you use Hoya 72R filter on gull as well?

No, not on the gull. With the 72R filter in place it takes between 20-40 second exposure time even in broad daylight to get enough infrared past the cameras internal filter to obtain a properly exposed image. That's the main reason I'm thinking about having a camera body converted to infrared, so I can expose and shoot the same as regular light. I think the image I posted was a 30 second exposure around noon in full sunlight.

Any video shooters here? I want to explore what this camera can do for video. I'm planning to buy a slider. But want to make sure if I should get other things to compliment video. Also, what is the preferred editing software for video?

Here are a few randoms and a few from a hiking trip to the Adirondacks with friends this past Oct. If anyones curious all of these were shot with a Canon 18-135mm. I have found this setup to be really good for a "walkaround/travel" setup.
