Jan 29, 2015 08:28 | #9428 I think I finally got focus on the eyes for the first time in my life. Anyone have experience with converting a camera to infrared? I've been using a Hoya 72R filter, which works fine if you can use a long exposure (like the image below) but really limits the kind of images you can get. No way I'd convert my 70D, but I've got another body that doesn't see much use that I would consider converting. Fuji X....BAAAAM! Renders way different than Sony.

No, not on the gull. With the 72R filter in place it takes between 20-40 second exposure time even in broad daylight to get enough infrared past the cameras internal filter to obtain a properly exposed image. That's the main reason I'm thinking about having a camera body converted to infrared, so I can expose and shoot the same as regular light. I think the image I posted was a 30 second exposure around noon in full sunlight. Fuji X....BAAAAM! Renders way different than Sony.

Jan 29, 2015 11:36 | #9432 Any video shooters here? I want to explore what this camera can do for video. I'm planning to buy a slider. But want to make sure if I should get other things to compliment video. Also, what is the preferred editing software for video? 6D, 70D, Pancake lens, Nifty Fifty, Sigma 50 Art, Canon 135LL IS, YN560 III

Jan 29, 2015 13:06 | #9434 Here are a few randoms and a few from a hiking trip to the Adirondacks with friends this past Oct. If anyones curious all of these were shot with a Canon 18-135mm.
