I use a 70D as my main wedding camera.

Nice work! That is one of the better group wedding shots I've seen. Also, a white wedding dress in the snow is something that is difficult to get the exposure right but you nailed it!

Went back to compare some images from the 70d that I sold and the 7d2 I acquired recently. Here are a few of the last images I took with the 70d. As far as IQ goes, I do not think it's an upgrade from 70d to 7d2, the AF and build, buffer, etc. are the only reasons to upgrade. The 70d is quite the bargain and a very verstile tool that I'm still kicking myself for selling.

I have been keeping mine for a few reasons..... truth be told, I haven't used it since I got my 7D2, but I think I will. I need to keep it or my 60D in the car at all times and sell the other one. The 60D isn't worth much at this point. I will be doing macros in a few weeks, so I know I'll use the 70D for those since the tilt screen is so easy to use.

Trying to figure out what lens I should have with me when I just randomly happen to have the camera with me. Leaning towards the Sigma 30mm Art because of the low light capabilities, but this one was taken with the 18-135 STM at ISO6400, not that bad actually.

Not to mention the focus trap feature with the touch screen on the 70d. I do miss that for macro.

OK..... you just lost me. What is the "focus trap"? I might not be familiar with the term itself. Touch Shutter on the screen?

The 18-135STM is my everyday "walkaround" lens.

Yes, I couldn't remember what Canon called it. I had Magic Lantern on my 60d and it was called trap focus. Obviously not touch screen though on the 60d.
Whatever it's called, its a darn nice feature!

I'm still not following. How does it function? I'm trying to determine if I just missed it or not.

Touch the subject on the screen and it will snap the pic as soon as it acquires focus.

This is only partially on topic, but did you guys see the T6s (external link)? It's definitely no 70D, but Canon just ate into their xxD sales for the on-the-fence-between-the-Rebel-vs-xxD crowd.

Well the customers that now see the difference between the two will pay the extra bucks for the 70D.
