Is it the same sensor?
No, the T6 has higher resolution than the 70d or the 7d Mk II. It has 24 megapixels. Probably the same technology though with the sensor.

Feb 06, 2015 11:53 | #9528 I am also wondering about T6s. Looks like it is 24mp sensor. It may be from Sony. That will be a nice improvement over 70D provided they add everything into T6s. Canon RP with 24-240mm

The T6 line does 5 fps whereas the 70d does 7. The fps on the 70d is the perfect balance for the parent shooting their kids sporting events. 7 fps is fast enough you are going to capture most fast paced action shots at at event without being so fast you end up taking 2000 shots a night. For real sports shooters, the 7d MarkII will be their choice, but for the parent who wants their camera to be an all around shooter for everything their kids are into the 70d is the better camera (than the T6) if for no reason than 7 fps is the "good enough" fps for shooting sports. Agree. 5 fps vs 7 fps and MFA is also missing from T6S. t6s is with hybrid sensor 3 version instead of duel pixel. It is going to do live view continuous shooting and hdr video. Leaning towards the Sigma 30mm Art because of the low light capabilities, but this one was taken with the 18-135 STM at ISO6400, not that bad actually. ![]() Ah Nynäshamn trainstation Fujifilm X100V

Feb 07, 2015 11:18 | #9534 Yeah....I think the 70D may well be the end of the XXD line with the T6s coming out. Given the pricing and features I think Canon is going to make the "super" versions of the Rebels and if you want pro class features push you up to the 7D2. Cameras: 7D2, S100

Phoenixkh a mere speck More info | Feb 07, 2015 12:46 | #9535 I realize I'm just guessing, but I think with the 1/4000 shutter speed and a few other things on the new Rebels, there still might be enough to continue to differentiate the XXD line. We'll see in a few months. The 1/8000 shutter speed, faster frames per second, MFA and a few other new features they'll add might do it. I guess I'm having trouble believing they'll try to force people to spend almost $2k to step up from a Rebel. The XXD has had a niche for such a long time. Once the early adopter pricing on the 7D2 is over after rebates it will likely be more like 1500-1600 as an effective price that you actually pay. The T6s kit will be 1200... That isn't the much of a difference and doesn't leave a lot of room for something in the middle. Cameras: 7D2, S100

Actually sharper as the t7 will come before the 7d3. I come here for your expert opinion. Please do not hesitate to critique or edit.
