Random camellia in my garden which must have bloomed after all the rain we've had.
went for a soft look.

Nothing special here... Just passed by the side of a church and took a shot of this lamp.

Went over to Haumoana again yesterday to try capture some of the devastation of the floods last week. Doesn't really do it.

The sea now breaks into this area, which used to be protected, and erosion is already occurring. There's a cycle track a few metres away which will be threatened I think. It's part of a large network, and this bit goes out to Clifton.

This is what it used to be like with the sea breaking on the shingle bar, which has been wiped out by the Tukituki raging through in a huge flood.

Lone whitebaiter - his stand in the willows was washed away.

How it used to be slightly different angle but shows how unprotected the area to the left is now, that the shingle bar has gone.

Remains of a whitebait stand, and the debris clinging to the willows shows how high the water was.

Good documentary shots Rose. I like the last shot in each set....the mood in that sky and landscape is wonderful as is 'Step into the clouds'. Also, can never go wrong when the dog pokes their nose into a shot due to their curiosity! :-)
