I was in a similar situation as you where I had the 15-85 and I loved it as a walk around lens. I sold the 15-85 after seeing images from the 18-135 STM and went with that as I hope to shoot more video too.

Some more input here....

Quick question:
Given the lenses that I currently have, should I get:
1) 70D Body only
2) 70D Kit I - 18-55 STM
3) 70D Kit II - 18-135 STM

I will be selling off the 60D to a friend who has been bugging me for it, along with its kit 18-55 IS II.

I bought the 70d mainly to use for macro but took it out the past weekend to try on BIF and must say I'm very impressed with the AF, fast to achieve focus and very good tracking, just struggling with the exposure as it seems to overexpose when used on the same settings as on the 5D III and 1D IV.

Wow, you sold your 15-85? Is the IQ on the 18-135 as good? I didn't think it would be. I was gong to get the 18-135 STM to use when I want to shoot video and then use the 15-85 for everything else that doesn't require my 70-300L.

...maybe I need to reconsider.

PS: Don't upgrade to the new flickr beta. I can't share images now that I did it.

Hopefully wiping my cookies will fix it.

Nay, it will not fix it - Flickr has foolishly not yet enabled sharing with its new "Experience"

Click the Help-Feedback" and if you wish - it offers a means of going back to the previous version...

Very nice photos everyone! Without stating the obvious differences, would you rather shoot with a 70d or a 6d?

Groovy man - there is your video lens  ;)

As for the 15-85mm talk - I had the lens and really loved it for its range and fast AF and I really do miss its wideness... really do. Got the 24-105L and yes I do love it and its a great performer - but - I will feel better when I get the 18-55 STM IS so I can have a wide angle again...

EF 24mm on a crop ain't wide enough... am looking forward to EF-s 18mm...

I have both. Using the 70D for my wildlife shooting (and sports if I did any) but using the 6D for portraits, low-light, events.
