Works for me Rose, love the little path through the woods. I kept scanning the woods for owls!

Thanks Robert. I couldnt remember if the trees were leaning or if it was lens distortion. I think they do lean.

Not sure what birds are there. We don't see many owls ..... there is a native one called a morepork or ruru. It's call is morepork morepork in quite a screechy tone, hence the name. I've heard them but only seen them in wildlife sanctuaries.

Was quite windy here for a few days, went out and took some photos with my 18-135 STM. Had to go F/22 to get these shutter speeds, wish I had a decent ND filter :)

I've got Haida NDs and very happy with them. Should get my chores done and get out with them!

Been looking at long exposures, decided to give it a try today. Overcast, but a lot of light, so used bulb mode and android EOS app to trigger the camera. Haida ten stop filter - slight blueish cast, but not a problem to me.

First attempt at bracketing and a quick edit in PS. Was waiting for a nice sunset but a low cloud came in. Blew out the sun too much.

Beaghmore is a complex of early Bronze Age megalithic features, stone circles and cairns, 8.5 miles north west of Cookstown, County Tyrone in Northern Ireland, on the south-east edge of the Sperrin Mountains. Some documents suggest that Beaghmore translates into English as 'the moor of the birches' but this is plainly wrong, as there is no Irish word for moor that sounds like the English word moor (the usual word is caorán) – Mackay's Dictionary of Ulster Place-names says that it is from an Bheitheach Mhór, meaning "big place of birch trees"; a name that reflects the fact that the area was a woodland before being cleared by Neolithic farmers. Beaghmore stone circles, alignments and cairns are State Care Historic Monuments in the townland of Beaghmore, in the Cookstown District Council area, grid ref: Area of H684 842. At Beaghmore a cairn (grid ref: H6872 8470), a cairn (grid ref: H6856 8472), Stone circles, alignments and cairns (grid ref: area of H684 842), round cairn with standing stones: Bradley’s Cairn (grid ref: H6830 8401) and cairn and alignment (grid ref: H6863 8431), are all Scheduled Historic Monuments.

Love when you get low and up close with your landscape images, Rose!

Thanks Jeff ☺ it makes a huge difference to the foreground and perspective. One thing I really do like about long exposures is that you must use the tripod, and the actual time for the exposure makes me compose a lot better. Well - makes me think about it all a lot more.

Thanks for taking the time to comment.
