I really love the 6d but recently have had some action shooting trouble that I haven't had before and I got terrible oof shots of my son running the fb. Pretty much every good run he made, I missed focus. Could be the 70-200 lens will have to do some checking. I know I'd be giving up a couple stops in low light, that's the real kicker. 6D & 7D mark II - Canon 16-35 f/4 IS L, Canon 24-70 f/2.8 L, Canon 24-105 f/4 L IS, Canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS II L, Canon 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 L IS II, Canon 50mm f/1.8 STM, Canon 85 f/1.8, Canon 100 f/2.8 USM macro, Canon EF 1.4x III

Oct 20, 2013 08:27 | #1317 roseyposey wrote in post #16380840 Thanks - helpful summary. I do like the idea of a larger viewfinder. with the wisdom of hindsight I regretted getting the 600D instead of the 60D which I had tried (lent by a friend). At the time I was using a Panasonic Lumix FZ30 which was extremely light and initially the 60D felt heavy and cumbersome. The focussing system and ability to more easily get birds in flight also is attractive - as after landscape that's probably my most frequent shooting. Appreciate the comments - just need to think about the $$$$, and how it is best spent spent. I upgraded from a 600d to the 70d and love it. The additional controls on the body are extremely useful as is the touchscreen, the higher fps, and larger viewfinder. It is noticibly heavier.

Oct 20, 2013 13:51 | #1318 LOL, I just got the thing on the camera today. It was worth it. Focus is silent, no more moving and rotating front element, the whole rig is stupid light all put together. Focus is noticeably slower than my 17-55, but it is smooth and silent. Also has the new pinch style lens cap. Cameras: 7D2, S100
