"We also have more details on the refurbished EOS body sale. It is “up to 20% off” and starts early Sunday morning. It will last until Wednesday evening. We still haven’t heard anything about a refurbished lens sale; but it’s possible one could start at the same time. Sign up for notifications by clicking the ‘Notify’ button on a product’s page and we’ll e-mail you when we see it go on sale."

Hey, neighbor to my north!

Great -- now I have to hide my wallet again before the weekend. :p

According to Canon Price Watch..."

We’ve been informed that the Canon Direct Store is starting a 20%-off refurbished bodies sale shortly (unfortunately, the sale excludes the 5D Mark III). The best deal will be the full-frame Canon EOS 6D for only $1279.36. This is a steal considering that refurbished cameras now include a full one-year Canon warranty.

6D Refurb @ Canon Store

As with all good refurbished deals, this well sell out within hours or even minutes of the sale going live. To ensure you get in on this deal, setup a notification by clicking the ‘Notify’ button on our Canon EOS 6D page.

2 day at least with the CLP program laid over the refurb inventory... Every single camera I have ordered as a Canon refurb, I have received at least by day #3 from the order. Now our distribution center is over in IL from IN, so that may play into this.

Thanks for the post. Sucks that the 5d3 isn't included.

I've had the exact opposite experience. Everything I have ever ordered from Canon Direct has shipped the same day as placing the order, and has been in my hands on the second day (Metro Atlanta).

I'm sure the biggest source of delays is processing the order and getting payment approval.

I've been lucky that everything has sailed through without any issues. As far as I know, they won't take an order for refurbished items unless they are in stock - so shipping should be pretty quick once the paperwork is complete.

It also depends on when you order. If you ordered late in the afternoon or in the evening, it should be shipped out the next business day.

Absolutely correct. If my memory is accurate, shipping cut of time is Noon Eastern. Order before that and it will go that day (assuming no credit or address issues etc.), order after that, and it's the next day (again assuming no issues with the processing of the order).

FYI, I ordered at 2:30pm EST and the order still went out same day. I have a feeling cut off is probably end of normal business days since pickups from FedEx/UPS have a cut off as well.

It has always been EITHER CLP or refurb sale price, never both. You have to decide which is cheaper for you, the CLP on the regular refurb price, or the sale price.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Looks like it might include lenses too. My reason for thinking this is because the 3 lenses I want to buy went out of stock from canon refurb yesterday.....
