Last weekends event is now ranked as the # 3 event of it's kind in North America & it was a great success. The event is restricted to BIG models or those that are at least 25% of the full size version.

Good images of them. I would have liked to see the B-25s flying in formation!

Nice set, the size of the plane is quite deceiving in #1!

Me too Frank. That must have happened on Sunday & I had to be home for my stepdaughters birthday then. I've got photos of both of them doing low level passes at full speed but not as a pair.

They are deceiving 99% of the time. Until you see one either standing on it nose or a wing tip they never look as big as they really are. There are 2 LARGE versions of that Super Decathlon & I think that's the 150 inch span version. The other is 180 inches.

Here's the B 25's first one on the ground for scale.

Thanks Frank. Both pilots were skilled enough to do those passes at full speed & made at least 3 each. Now I'm getting ready to head off to a Scale Aerobatics competition. Unfortunately the patterns are flown well away from the flight line so photo ops are really just at take off & landings until Sunday's freestyle event. Average wingspans for this stuff is about 8 feet with some hitting close to 12 feet. Generally speaking they're all overpowered vs the real thing.

Good luck at the event!

It seems as if it would make more sense to build to full scale so they could ride in them? ; )
