For the purposes of this thread, let's keep it real cheap. No "L"s to be sure and most prosumer glass is not what I'd consider cheap. I'm talking nifty fifty, pancake, 28-135IS & 28-105 II, 18-55, cheap third party glass, etc.

Let's show 'em that it is the photographer and not the equipment. :shock:

Canon 7D & 1st version of the Tamron 18-270 VC (all I took on the trip) with the camera held as high as I could reach panning by guess. 1/320 shutter speed used

And this pair caught me off guard because I thought he had landed & would taxi past me when he shot back up at full throttle.

40D & Sigma 18-200 OS & which was being tested for this kind of use & my shutter speeds were intentionally high (no wheel / tire / background blur) to see if the lens could track the fast moving cars properly. (I tested several camera / lens combos that day).

I have a bunch of landscapes that I like that I took with the 18-55IS kit lens and my T1i. The downsampling to post them doesn't do them justice though.

I imagine that for what it is the Tamron is pretty inexpensive, but it is too expensive to be considered a "cheap" lens.

But considering this thread is really about the photographer, I think you're allowed. :D

$300 and below is really cheap (70-300 = $300, 17-35 = $200, 22mm stm~$120)

don't think any are really considered prosumer right?

I can work with a $200 limit, though severely gimped in photo selection.
