I mentioned this pack in another thread, but I figure I should do a quick review since I just got back from a Hawaii trip with it.

For $100, this might be the best value in a travel backpack in this size. It's big, and it works great: http://www.bhphotovideo.com …ProPack_418_Backpack.html (external link)

Here's how I had it set up for the trip:

In the back, I also had my 16" laptop, in its padded and removable envelope.

On the plane, it's great. Looks huge, but still fit under the seat in front of me. Easy to pull my laptop out with its envelope, and use that to insulate the fan heat from my legs while I worked on images or played Kerbal Space Program (both are very CPU intensive).

I never imagined it would be so easy to carry a 1D and a Rebel with lenses in the same bag with other equipment. It's very liberating.

The main insert is (obviously?) removable, and this is what I use in my camera drawer at home. Very easy to drop the loaded insert into the pack when it's time to travel, but it's a convenient way to protect the gear in the drawer.

Construction is pleasing. Zippers are positive, meaty, and don't snag any of the pack's material. The material is softish, more cotton-like than nylon-like. The shoulder pads are very comfortable, and the sternum strap works fine. The hip belt has no padding or support, so this is mostly to get you to your plane, not for backpacking. It's fine as a travel pack though.

Jet-lagged and tired, I'll leave this here for now. lmk if I left something out :)
