Whenever I sit down to edit photos right off the bat I open Lightroom and fix any issues with the white balance, exposure, temp, and so forth. Then I'll fix anything else in Photoshop.
After that, I draw a blank. Unless the person I did photos for specifically requested something (b&w, sepia, etc...) I usually just open Lightroom back up and cycle thru presets, find something I like, and tweak it. Even though this process works, I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Anyone else have this issue, or a better method?

Are you happy with the results? If so, it's rather immaterial if someone here feels you're doing something wrong. If you're not happy with the results, or not happy with something specific in your workflow, let us know that, and I'm sure you'll get plenty of recommendations. It also depends quite a bit on the type of photography. My workflow for landscape photos is not the same as it is for sports photos. Otherwise, if it's not broke. . .

...don't fix it.
I am happy with the results. And I guess it's not so much that i feel like I'm doing something "wrong", just didn't feel like it was the best approach to PP. But, yea, I guess it works for me. No reason to change it lol.

It's certainly not to say you won't refine your technique over time, but PP is one of those things where there is absolutely no one right (or even best) answer. I'm constantly trying out new techniques I read or otherwise learn about, but whether or not they become part of my workflow is entirely personal preference.

I shoot raw and tweak contrast and saturation... then it's done.

In general I'd say that if your workflow works for you to get the results you want, go for it!

Just one observation, though. Whenever you open an image in Photoshop from Lightroom, it creates a tiff or psd file alongside your original/Raw file. That can take up a lot of disk space (and also clutter your Lightroom library). So, my workflow is to maximize my Raw processing in Lightroom, and that is typically all I need in processing my photos, so very few tiffs/psds to deal with!
