This little one showed me that my new diffuser still needs a ton of work. Either that or i just need to stay away from shiny bugs.

That's the first ladybird I've seen without any spots on its wing cases. Good find and captures.

Lovely captures. I expect ladybirds like this to have some shiny patches, as long as they are not blown and these aren't, I think the light is fine.

I would typically never bump my own thread but i figure i'd update with the latest on the 3rd shot, I was originally going to trash this shot because i felt the diffusion just wasn't on par.

Well, in the 24 hours it's been on Flickr it has well over 1000 views, 44 likes and has been put on Fluidr.com Today's Explore. This is the most recognition i've ever got on any picture i've ever taken and i'm a little taken aback by it.

I guess the moral of the story...One mans junk is another mans treasure.

I just wish there was a bit more light, but I do understand you're taking it slowly with the diffuser.
