I've been wrestling with this for a while and reading many individual reviews of different products, and I have to say I'm totally confused about what would work best. I'm shooting an event later next week, and I'd like to have my 1DX with 24-70 and flash on my neck strap and carry my 1D4 with 70-200 ready to shoot at a moment's notice. Can people recommend what has worked best for them? I need to make a decision quickly. Thanks.

Cameras: 1DX, 1D4, 20D, 10D, S90, G2

I use OP/TECH's Double Sling for weddings. Works wonders.

I use the Op-Tech Dual Harness. (external link) It is ideal when you want to rapidly switch back and forth between two cameras.

Normal Optech straps for me.

One camera around my neck,
One over the shoulder.
Zero expenditure.

Cotton carrier

+2 for Cotton Carrier. It will take big load of weight off shoulders and distribute towards the back shoulder blades.

After 20+ years of hating straps around my neck or over my shoulder - particularly for a second camera - I finally got a BlackRapid DR-1 double harness and couldn't be happier. Distributes the weight so well that I can carry 2 gripped bodies with with lens and flash in perfect comfort even over multiple day events.

who gives a rat crap how much gear you can list?

I carry a pair of 1Dmk4 every day - one with a 16-35 and the other with 70-200

I currently use Spiderholsters - I took them off the supplied belt and wear them on my 1.5" Wilderness riggers belt (heavy nylon gun belt)
They work great, the weight sits on your hips, the cameras don't swing around much, and at the end of the day your shoulders don't hurt !

Before the Spiderholsters I used a blackrapid double strap - it was great, and I still use it when I need a proper strap (working at height, around water, in a helicopter etc) but I prefer the spiderholster for day to day work.

I have a single spider. Can you show the spider clips affixed to the belt you speak of, perhaps with you wearing it? Thank you.

I just bought the Black Rapid Yetti and will try it with my two bodies.
