It looks a bit over saturated on my screen.

Food photography is difficult but I think you did well with this one. Is that some steam rising? It would be nice to accentuate that with a lower angle perhaps and maybe put a fork on the dish?

Thanks, smoke (steam) is fake and thought the fork would have been a good idea (before I got hungry) :)

Hi, Cheiefly, I'm wondering what you see over saturated?

The crookedness was on purpose, I'm curious on your thoughts on this?

I don't like the angle. It looks like a mistake since it's not a very dramatic angle. It also looks over saturated to me, as well.

On my screen, there is not a clear distinction between the noodles and garnish, it all seems to be blended together. Perhaps that is over-sharpening, but I thought perhaps it was a bit oversaturated. The table also looks a bit over-saturated.

It looks yummy, but I'd like to see some specular highlights.

I think the tilt detracts rather than helps.

The basic food looks good except that the black specks (seasoning?) look like ash. This shot would have more appeal if it were dressed up with silverware and a napkin and if the bowl and plate matched.

There are two issues 'off center' if you will. The tilt to the frame and the bowl on the plate. Together they don't work.

But the tilt to the frame to me looks odd with a bowl of food. I expect to see the food over at the lower edge.
