Not really sure what section of the forum this questions belongs in, but thought here was as good as any.
Over the last year we have taken a number of photos of our friend's newborn, who just turned 1 a couple months ago. So we thought it would be fun to make them a photo book. Some of the images were not technically within the first year, so my wife thought of using the caption "2012-2013" under the baby's name and a cute picture on the cover of the album. We placed the order and that was that. A couple hours later I came back to look at the album proof, and it occurred to me that using the date like that is often used to note when someone was born and died.
What do you think, is it okay to keep it as is or should we call to cancel our order and revise the caption? I'd hate for the family to receive this and have any horrible thoughts come to mind. If you were the parent and received an album for your child's first year, and it said baby's name and 2012-2013 and nothing else, would that thought cross your mind or would you assume it meant baby's first year? For what it's worth it does say baby's first year on the spine and back of the album, but first impressions are what I'm worried about and I don't think anyone ever looks at the spine or cover until later.
