Smugmug & Sales Tax?

I am currently working on a smugmug page. People keep telling me "i'd buy this" or "you need to sell these"...so what the heck I am going to give it a go.

One thing I am sort of unsure about its sales tax. I live in Maryland and a lot of the people buying from me would be Maryland residents.

Does anybody use smugmug and know how this works?

Generally speaking, if you sale to a resident of your state you are supposed to collect the sales tax on that item (then provide that tax to the state); and you would need to have a registered tax certificate to do so. If you sale an item to someone who lives in another state, you are not to charge them sales tax.

As mentioned above, it does vary from state to state.
