We heard the crows screaming an awful sound and peaked out the window and saw an owl perched on our fence. I ran into the closet to get my gear read (400mm 5.6 & tripod) which I haven't used for quite some time and was able to capture a few clicks.

If I had to do it over again I would have probably used my 80-200mm and slowly crawled to capture before it flew away.
