1,000th Post: Somethin' Special

I decided that my 1,000th post had to be an image in the Bird section, and I knew it had to be somewhat special. But I had no idea that I would get shots of a Ruff (a Eurasian shorebird species) here in Oregon. It was a lifer for me, and I was fortunate enough that the bird walked within my minimum focusing distance multiple times for around 20 minutes. Too bad it wasn't a male :D

Great images, they have a pastel look to me which is very pleasing to the eye. Love the DOF, background, subdued light etc etc

Congrats on your 1000th Evan. Your first and last images are superb...the poses, but also the beautiful, pastel colours in the wildflowers.....excell​ent!
