Does the settings, Portrait, Landscape, Faithfull, and Neutral have that much of affect when shooting in RAW?

They have absolutely no direct affect on the Raw; they do not change the image data section of the Raw file in any way. They may have an indirect affect - they are listed in the metadata section together with all the other camera settings and one Raw converter, Canon's DPP, reads them and changes its defaults to match them. All other converters ignore the metadata except for one item, the WB.

Thank you tzalman
So to get Portrait turn the camera vertical, and for Landscape turn the camera horizontal and forget about the settings Portrait, Landscape, Faithfull, and Neutral, while shooting in RAW. Is that right?

Those settings have nothing to with with how you're holding the camera. They are "presets" for color hues, saturation, and contrast which might be useful when shooting (processing) various scenes ("Portrait" for nice skin tones, "Landscape" for deeper greens and blues, and so on).

I normally use Faithfull or Neutral and make adjustments myself.

Thanks LV Moose for help, It has cleared up a few things for me.

It can be interesting and informative to "play" with your Raw files in Digital Photo Professional (DPP) since it "reads in" those camera settings, and since you can change things around in the software.

Lightroom has similar settings in its Camera Calibration panel in the bottom-right of the Develop module, made to "simulate" those camera settings, but Lightroom doesn't "read" the settings like DPP does. Choosing one to apply is your creative choice!
