I have a 580EX II that I bought used. It has worked just fine for the last several months. I haven't used it a lot. The other day I got it out to use it for a few shots and it will not fire.
On camera or off camera (pressing the pilot button) it does nothing. I've changed batteries all the usual stuff. The other functions of the flash including the focus assist all seem to function, whatever the issue it seems isolated to the bulb itself.
I see bulbs on eBay, is this something I can put in myself? I would prefer to try this before sending the flash into Canon. Any other ideas?
