I shoot canon 6D

This will only be used for very low, close quarters hardcore/metal shows.

I don't need anything amazing, just quality so that you can hear vocals/guitars/drums all clearly.

here is a sample, just so you can get an idea of what I'll be shooting.

Yes it is very loud

Thanks for the help.
I would like to be under $100 usd
cheapest is best, but with quality in mind.

this is actually the venue, below, that most shows will be shot at

this seems pretty decent
I dont' expect pure crisp sound, just need better than the built in mic, and at least capture everything evenly (regardless of the quality)

Consider getting an external recorder so you can capture audio from the sound board. The audio coming out of the speakers is mixed and eq'd for the room/stage you're in, not to be captured by another audio device. A shot gun mic won't give you nearly the same quality.

That's going to be a little tough to do for under $100. ;-)a

not an option, sadly, since most of the time they don't mic instruments, besides the vocals.

believe me, this was my first try.

A microphone that moves around on your camera while the band plays will give you terrible audio with wildly changing levels. A cheaper digital recorder-such as this Tascam for $100

in a fixed and safe position near the soundboard or attached to a wall will give you far far better sound. It also has a built in limiter compressor to help avoid distortion.

Which with a "loud" band will introduce distortion.

A better choice is a standard dynamic microphone (which can handle the high sound pressure levels) tethered to the camera with a XLR cable.
