ZZ Top headlining the Rock The Rapids music festival 8.22.13. Not very energetic on stage, but Billy & Dusty struck a few interesting poses for the photographers (like #4). Just wish I got some shots of Frank Beard but I couldn't get a clear shot of him from the pit.

With the iconic beards, glasses and hats, the members of ZZ Top still look good on stage after all these years. Nice pics!

Nice set. I really like the colours and crispness of the photos.

Nice set as always. Beards of Gold! The last one is a nice pose but such a shame about the background...

Thanks guys!

Yeah aardvark, I wish I could have been more centered in that last shot. I was on the right side of the pit though when they did this, so I had to run down to the opposite side to get this shot.

Took a look at the flickr versions. I'm a fan of ZZ and KWS. Interesting to see the 'new' ZZ guitars and how bare bone basic they look (tech wise -not the paint job).

Questions...
1. 5D or 7D?
2. Pixel peeps on the 1400wide version.. you used the 70-200 IS i think.
3. Kenny Wayne Shepherd has grown up a lot in last 10 years.

1. 5D Mk III but I used a 7D w/ 70-200L IS II as a backup.
2. I used the 24-70L for almost all of these. I think there's 1 or 2 shots on my Flicker set that was taken with 70-200.
3. Oh yeah, for sure! Almost didn't recognize him.
