Lovely young lady I had the pleasure to work with yesterday. Shot these with my brand new Tamron 28-75 2.8.

The flare over her face is reducing contrast quite a bit.

Quite nice, although the light could have been from the side a bit more, give a bit more modelling to her face.

Very nice, although her neck is turned to such a degree there's a crease in the skin.

Nice pose, although the broad lighting isn't giving much solidity to her face. Perhaps narrow lighting would work better.

Very nice. I really like this one.

Thank you for the great cc Tiberius. I'll keep them all in mind. :)
By the way these were all shot with a single 430 ex II speedlight bounced off a white umbrella.

How did you trigger?

Flash and umbrella just slightly off to the side?

I think they all look pretty good. Nothing seems consequential enough to mention other than I like them.

Thanks for the comments everybody. I really appreciated it. :)

mdvaden, I used my cactus V5 wireless trigger to fire the flash. Umbrella and flash was set about six feet away and six feet high. Flash was on manual mode at 1/4 power and 50mm for the first three shots and at 1/8 power, 35mm for the last two shots. During the last two shots space was very tight I think umbrella was like three feet away from her face. That's why I lowered the power and the widen the light to 35mm to prevent hot spots on her face but I guess it was to wide because Tiberius says it made her face look wide on # 4. :D
Position of the umbrella depended on where sun was coming from. First shot it was on the left of the camera about 45 degrees, second shot almost straight a head and the rest was on the right of the camera.

Here is a almost exact same pose of # 1 without the sun flares. For this shot I just made her move about two feet to her left to get her out of the straight sun light.

That's much nicer. Richer colours and better contrast.

Nice shots. You are shooting at a slightly up angle. Mix it up.
