Your opinion please.

Would you consider a trade between a Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS (version 1) + Canon 100-400mm with a Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 OS (version 1, non-S) equivalent? Monetary wise..not focal length. ;)

Thanks,

Hard to say as it's version 1 sigma and you loose a lot of focal length between the two lenses.

A plus would be that you get 300mm f2.8, what do you normally shoot?

assuming they're all in good condition, i'd say it's close, but i think the canons are worth a bit more...say $1200 per lens...ebay completed listings shows the sigma going for between 1800-2400...you could get it brand new for $2700

I wouldn't take that trade. I have a 70-200 2.8 for the aperture and a 100-400L for the range. Why would I want to carry around a 6 pound lens when I could get along fine with just one of my 3 pound lenses?

Dedicated APS-c shooter. Gripped 60D, 60 2.8, 10-22, 15-85, Σ70-200 OS and a big white something or other! Plus a 5D w/28-75.
