Hi,

I am new here. Just like to ask which is the best stock photography website that I can sell my photographs and earn big bucks?

The definition of "best" in my opinion is:

  • Large membership of active buyers (high traffic, international exposure)
  • Good prices for photos (which in turn means good commissions for sellers)
  • Convenient payment modes for sellers to receive payments
  • Registration approval criteria not too strict (allows average sellers to pass approval test and start selling)
The sites I have come across and tried are:
http://www.bigstockphoto.com (external link) (slow moving)
http://www.istockphoto.com (external link) (seems good but prices are low)
http://www.corbis.com (external link) (registration not yet approved)

Any recommendations? Thanks.

This is a good question - I recommended to the mods that it be moved to a more appropriate forum.

1) second the suggestion to move this to an appropriate part of the forum
2) the answer may be: it depends. For me, I've had no succes with the stock sites that pay large amounts of money for a single sale. But I've had succes with a micropayment site because the sales volume is high.
3) so try it out for yourself... that may be the honest answer.

I have some up at http://submit.shutterstock.com/ (external link) but I don't know how they compare to the ones Starnamer listed. Out of the few I have tried they my pics get the most downloads there.
