Hunting dog

This is Chance, a stunning slate grey GSD puppy, a guest in our house from the local rescue centre
All his litter mates have been rehomed, so he's come to ours to play with our lot to save him from being isolated in a kennel alone

Not only do I love birds I also happen to love dogs (except the two loose pit bulls that almost killed me last fall at a dirt-bag motel.
We don't have the large dog that looks like a Golden but was really a mutt.
The other picture is of our new mutt, His mother had a lot of Jack Russell Terrier in her and the Sire is a papered Border Collie and he is a handful to say the least.
Willy Boy was raised on baby birds and muskrats and gets along very well with our now ten year old conure. ~♥~

Jiggi, 7.5 mo, between baths. She is a liver shunt survivor at 6 wks post op.
Tough to get the eyes with all that hair in the way.

Harry

Three's a crowd. Three of our four Maltese pups on a recent road trip. They ALL get in the crate together.

POTNers, meet Tucker, our new Border Collie, born on April 23rd, to be picked up at 8 weeks, in mid-June.

OK, I know this is a snapshot more than a photograph, but it's a nice way to introduce him. (Shot wide open at 1.4 with a 50 mm, which explains why the rear paws are soft. Well, soft in the photographic meaning of the word...)

(Side note: I had to play with Fill Light in LR3 to bring out some details in the black fur, and most of it disappeared when I exported to a max of 150kb. Note to self: next time, no compression and uploaded to Flickr.)

Methinks this dog is going to play tricks with my 7D's meter. On the other hand, I'm glad they don't make Border Collies in 18% grey!)
