I have been watching your pics for a while and personally I think your angle of shooting is a little bit off. Going down exactly on the eye level of the dogs and cats creates more appealing images. Also traditional portrait focal lengths are better for the animals, wide angle causes distortion in pets' features as well.

I agree, but sometimes you have to make allowances for the available space. Working in a small office doesnt afford you much room to back up and zoom in.:-)
