A video of my friends and I messing about on Lake Taho from my boat. Everything was shot with my new GoPro Hero3 Black Edition. Editing was done using FCPX.

Critiques welcomed

Pretty cool video, a bit long on some shots, but it looks like a blast. Is the water really that blue there?

I think you did an awesome job of converting the footage to slo-mo, definitely fun to watch, but you need to cut faster... cut more often. As a viewer I was definitely into the song, and it matched the atmosphere, but you need so many more shots to make the cuts more powerful... I am really impressed with the H3. I have the H2 and the resolution at 120 is nowhere near the H3! cool video.

Thanks for the input.. I may try to re-edit but I didn't have much more footage, so it had to run a bit long unfortunately.

:59 to 1:27 was the slowmo of your friend, that felt like minutes.
You could try, starting off slow then speed it up, or show it fast 3 or 4 times real quick, & I mean real quick and do it all in less than :28 secs. 30 Secs is all Toyota gets on a commercial. SO you can get a lot of the story in half the time. Remember there is a reason most songs are under 3 minutes. Its our attention span..... Its tough editing, but overall it plays better when its short.
Damn I love that camera.
