My wife who is due with our third child in less than a week! We went to take a few family pictures and slowly the light got away from us, but as it was going down these clouds rolled in and made for the picture of the night.

QUOTED IMAGE

Third child in less than a week! Wow! How is that even possible?

Oh, wait, you mean the child is due in less than a week and it's your third. For a moment, I thought it was like those cheesy old sci-fi movies where the woman gets pregnant and gives birth very quickly, like Species or something. I was thinking, "Three children in less than a week! Poor woman!"

As for the photo itself, it's quite nice, but I think your flash is a little hot. Particularly with her white dress.

Looking for ideas to take photos of my wife and found this. I have to disagree with above, I think the flash is just right. Excellent work, my friend.

About the bright flash, I can bring that back a bit in Lightroom but on print it looks perfect, all the detail is in the dress.

P.S my wife no longer looks like this Saturday night we had a little boy join our family. 9 lbs and 2oz and 21 inches long! Thanks everyone for the compliments And critique.

Congrats! I guess that means it's a bit late for a reshoot then.

It looks better with the reduced brightness, definitely.
