I rented a Tamron 24-70 the other day to see if It will be my next wide angle for my 6D.Overall I was pretty pleased with everything but their was a problem with the autofocus that baffled me.
3 different times in semi low light shooting during my testing the lens would not focus at all, meaning it wouldn't confirm focus (one shot mode) and not until I turned off then on the camera would it respond.
Has any Tamron 24-70 owner seen this issue??I'm hoping it was a issue with that lens and not a "problem" with that model.
I really want to like this lens but if there is a issue with the autofocus then it's a no buy for me.Thanks.

Semi low light is in a church,ISO 2000,nothing my 7D and 17-55 can't handle. The 6d's center point is really good for this but the lens just locked up tight.Weird.

I have occasionally experienced the same thing. It's like the AF will make several attempts and then it's as if it throws it's hands up in the air and says "Ah, screw it!" It rarely occurs, but when it does I have only had to turn the camera on/off for one occasion to revive the AF.

I haven't had this happen to me, but only a couple hundred shots through this lens so far. Will keep my eyes open for it though!

At least one of this len's perk is the 6yr warranty. I will have to keep a close watch on mine. Wondering if others have had similar problems that ended up becoming worse.
