I just did a re edit of a shot I took last year. I would appreciate opinions on whether the crop and PP work better on the 2nd image. Thanks!

For the sake of completeness, here's the original and the edit with just the crop and no PP.

Original is a "better" picture, but I like the semi-retro feel of the edit. Reminds me of an old, well aged wildlife/hunting magazine.

I like the last one you posted the best. Either way, it's a cool shot. Well done!

#2 for me. The color is corrected there. A purple elephant would be a novelty. Composition is improved, too.

PRONOUN ADVISORY: OhLook is a she. | A FEW CORRECT SPELLINGS: lens, aperture, amateur, hobbyist, per se, raccoon, whoa, more so (2 wds.), shoo-in | Comments welcome

The last one is the best, like the composition in the cropped photos but the 2nd one is to washed out.

The second shot has the blue cast corrected so I prefer that (nice shot BTW).

However the second shot seems to need a bit more contrast and/or the black point pulled in IMHO.

New edit, for me.

I don't like purple elephants, either. ;)

I prefer the second edit. However, I would remove the sun coming through the branches as it was extremely distracting to me. If the elephant had been in the sun also, I would have left it. But since it is in the shade you want the elephant to be the focal point, not the bright spot in the upper right.

The crop in the second image is much better too.
