Shooing a wedding next week at Burke Mountain! I have been on a wedding photography hiatus for a little over 2 years and now i have the jitters....

I'm packing with me:

5D MKIII
Canon SL1
Sigma 35mm f/1.4 (New one)
Canon 40mm
Canon 50mm f/1.4
Canon 70-200 f/2.8
Canon 300mm f/4.0

2X Speedlite 600EX
Canon Speedlight transmitter ST-E3
Alienbees B800 + Beauty Dish + Vagabond Mini
Alienbee Triggers

Why am i so nervous! These are close friends of mine and i don't want to disappoint!

Advice Anyone

Gear isn't really your concern. For getting ready, I would mount the Simga 35 on the 5D and the 50 on the SL1. Come ceremony time, you can bounce around, but the 35 on the 5D and the 70-200 would be my plan of attack.

What kind of advice are you seeking? If its gear, I would say a wider lens might be of benefit, especially if you want to get that epic landscape shot. These are all shot from 16 to 20mm on a FF.

I know exactly what you're going through. Been there, done that. Only it was family. It took me a while to get warmed up on the wedding day.

Don't sweat it! You obviously have gear covered. Once you get the first few shots out of the way, the jitters will go away, you'll find your groove again and you'll be just fine!

Be sure to let us know how it went and good luck!

The jitters are normal. Remember to carry yourself the day of. If your subjects loose confidence in you, it will show.

I'm on the same boat. Haven't shot a wedding in 3 years. Shooting my first since next week. I'm not very nervous but there are times when I keep thinking I don't have enough equipment even though I have more equipment now than I did 3 years ago. Ha ha. Just one of those things. I'm sure you'll be alright and just like someone mentioned, once you take those first few shots, it'll be like riding a bike.

You have good enough gear according to the list provided.

All you can do is to make sure you have loose ends covered and be as prepared as possible. At this point there's nothing else you can do.

Once you start the day off, you'll be immersed in shooting and the nervousness may surprisingly disappear.

You are probably nervous because these are close friends and you want to do a great job.

I'm sure you'll be fine.
