Not really a sport! But the challenges most aptly fit this category.
Hope a few sports pro's can give me some hints.
I enjoy capturing Maritime cannon battles ,especially the muzzle flash. However to get that capture I set a high shutter speed which seems to dilute the other colors (especially on cloudy days)
I like the "blast" on this but the rest is washed out!
Any way around this?
Canon 20 D 1/1600 F8 ISO 400 28-135is zoom

Any way around this?

I'd shoot RAW, make two exposures from the pic, one light & one dark, & blend them with a Layer Mask in PS.
Good catch on the smoke & flame!
