None of the above. A&M RB Ben Malina started doing it last year and the rest of the A&M offense did it as well.

They are holding him to a different standard than any other player ever in the history of college football. He got a penalty. Big deal. Tebow did in the National Championship game for taunting and it wasn't a big deal. Johnny did against Rice after players had spent the entire game badgering him while the refs stood around with their thumbs up their ass ignoring it.

Oh. he signed a lot of autographs? So did Clowney, Bridgewater and Braxton, but ESPN wasn't reporting that because guys like Joe Schad are on a witch hunt. Schad voted the University of Texas #3 and A&M #17 this week. That should be all you need to know about that.

What's sad is they are focusing on these minute things with Johnny like how he complained about a parking ticket while completely spending almost no time things like a handful of Vanderbilt players allegedly gang-raping an unconscious girl [five players have been indicted.]

So far, I've seen your picture on Yahoo, and some sort of Flash ad. lol. I'm guessing both were stolen because, well, one is a Flash ad.. and Yahoo later took it down and changed the image.

I hate ESPN. I'm very aware of their tactics and can't stand them. This isn't about ESPN. Ironically, it's exactly about the way in which you responded. You mentioned all these other players and incidents. Your picture isn't of these other people or incidents. You're also a graduate, so I would expect a degree of homerism and that's ok. Most of the incidents with Manziel aren't 'alleged'. They're on Twitter, where he was an absolute moron. Were the Rice players trying to get a rise out of him? I'm almost sure they were. A great player rises above that crap and resists the urge for things like the air autograph, which was just really childish and makes him look exactly like the punk that many think he is. He wins the Heisman and he's the QB, but he's not a team captain? ESPN may be on a witch hunt but he's been providing them with kindling and matches the whole way.

And they aren't held to the same standard that Johnny is, which is exactly what I am talking about. And I know they were because I was on the field. Johnny ignored most of the BS they were spewing.

Really? Michael Jordan is probably the greatest player in any sport ever and he easily talked more trash than anyone else ever. Larry Bird was super notorious for talking trash as well. Your statement is flat out dumb. Great players talk trash. Period. End of story.

I love it when you go blow by blow. If you think the limited contact you've had with him gives you any insight into who he really is, well, I've got some oceanfront property somewhere... and it's for sale. I never denied it was a witch hunt. But when a guy, a Heisman trophy-winning guy, tweets that it's all BS and he wants to just leave (College Station), I don't think it's unfair for a network that focuses on sports to run that story. Look, if you think you can be objective on this, I think you're not really being honest with yourself. You're on the inside looking out, which is often the worst vantage point. Read Wright Thompson's story on him. I think it's a fair look that provides both sides of Manziel. He's obviously not as bad as ESPN makes him out. He's obviously not as clean as you think he is either. He needs to ditch Nate Fitch. He's the one behind the autograph scandal. He's behind the scenes lining up deals for autographs. That's what happens when you have 'friends' run things. As for Jordan, he was pilloried plenty. He always had his haters. He also wasn't childish and had done a lot more than Johnny to back it up.
