Hello

A couple of days ago I bought the 430EX ii. And I have a problem wich I'm not able to solve. Is there an option on the flash or the camera (600d) wich allows me to trigger the flash everytime I take a picture.
Whenever I go outside and take macro shots it won't flash. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong because when I go inside the house (somewhat darker) the flash does pop.
I mainly shoot in manual mode.

Thank you in advance,

Frank

What shutter speed are you using outside? You can go into the menus and clear all settings for the flash and then see if that does anything.

Is it your CAMERA which is set to Manual, or your flash which is set to Manual?

Then there's no real reason for your predicament. When the camera is in manual mode it doesn't make any decisions about whether the flash should fire or not - you do. It's different in the pre-programmed modes.
